Lot 1074: A Vintage Mid-Century White-Painted Metal and Vinyl Bar Stool
A vintage mid-century white-painted metal and vinyl bar stool. The stool features a white-painted tubular metal frame with four legs braced by two horizontal H-frame supports and finished with white plastic protective caps. The frame is constructed from bent tubular metal, with the rear legs extending upwards to form the twin vertical supports for the padded backrest. The circular padded seat and curved rectangular backrest are upholstered in an off-white vinyl with white piping. A paper auction tag is attached to the backrest reading Lot 1074. A small, white, rectangular adhesive tag is located on the frame near the backrest supports; however, the characters on this label are not legible. No other maker’s marks, stamps, or manufacturer labels are present.
Large-scale furniture items; exact dimensions are not provided.
Condition report:
The stool is in good vintage condition. There is faint surface spotting and light discoloration visible on the off-white vinyl upholstery of both the seat and backrest (photo 1). The white-painted frame shows minor scuffing and surface wear consistent with age and functional use (photo 2). The plastic protective feet are all present and appear intact (photo 2).
