Lot 1084: A Pair of Vintage Chrome-Plated and Wood Bistro Chairs
A pair of vintage chrome-plated and wood bistro chairs of modern minimalist design. Each chair is constructed with a tubular metal frame featuring a polished chrome finish. The backrests are composed of five curved horizontal bars integrated into the rear upright supports. The circular seats are made from a light-coloured wood with a clear natural finish and are secured to the frame via an X-shaped metal under-brace. The legs are finished with black plastic glides. Several labels are present: a white rectangular auction lot tag on one frame reads HCP Auctions South West Lot 1084 www.hcpauctions.co.uk; the underside of one seat bears a small white adhesive label with the number 976 and a smaller label printed SP35704; a similar small white label on one leg is printed SP35781. A buff-coloured tie-on tag reading 1421 metal + Glass computer desk Les E5 is attached but appears to refer to a separate item.
Large-scale furniture items; exact dimensions are not provided.
Condition report:
The chairs are in used condition. The wooden seats show visible surface scuffs, light staining, and minor edge wear (photo 1). The chrome-plated frames exhibit surface dust and minor superficial scratches consistent with age and use (photo 1). All plastic foot glides appear to be present.
