Lot 1114: A Vintage Tubular Steel Folding Guest Bed
A vintage tubular steel folding guest bed, also known as a Z-bed, designed for occasional use and ease of storage. The frame is constructed from blue-painted tubular steel with a central folding mechanism. The sleeping surface is supported by a series of black-finished serpentine springs attached to the frame. The bed includes an integrated thin mattress upholstered in a red and white striped ticking fabric. The legs are fitted with red plastic end caps. A small rectangular adhesive manufacturer’s label is affixed to the side of the blue metal frame, though the printed characters are not legible.
