Lot 1153: A Vintage Gilt Composite Full-Length Wall Mirror
A vintage gilt composite full-length wall mirror of rectangular form, featuring an ornate frame decorated in the Rococo fashion. The wide outer border is embellished with a repeating relief pattern of scallop shells and scrolling acanthus leaves in a dark patinated gold tone, set against a bright gold-toned stepped inner moulding that terminates in a fine beaded pearl trim. The mirror plate is clear and features a deep bevelled edge. Two adhesive labels are affixed to the top of the glass: a circular pink sticker printed with the number 32 and a white rectangular auction label reading HCP Auctions South West / Lot 1153 / www.hcpauctions.net.

Condition report:
The mirror and frame are in very good overall condition with no visible faults. The bevelled glass plate is clear with no visible foxing or oxidation to the silvering (photo 1). The moulded composite frame is intact with no significant chips or losses to the gilded ornamentation visible in the provided images (photos 2 and 3). The surface shows some light dust and handling smudges.
