Lot 163: Vintage Salomon Monocoque Downhill Skis with 977 Bindings and Poles
Vintage Salomon Monocoque downhill skis with 977 bindings and a pair of aluminum poles. These French-made skis are constructed using Salomon’s original Monocoque concept, featuring an integrated structural topsheet design. They are equipped with Salomon 977 Composite Driver bindings featuring adjustable toe and heel pieces. The set is accompanied by two aluminum ski poles fitted with ergonomic plastic grips, wrist straps, and plastic baskets. The ski topsheets feature printed markings including MONOCOQUE, SALOMON ORIGINAL CONCEPT, and MADE IN FRANCE. The bindings bear printed text reading SALOMON, COMPOSITE, DRIVER, and 977. A white adhesive inventory label with the number 63 is affixed to the foredeck of one ski.
