Lot 164: A Collection of Vintage Salomon and Nordica Skiing Equipment and Bags
A collection of vintage Salomon and Nordica skiing equipment and bags, comprising a pair of cross-country skis, two pairs of poles, and a pair of alpine boots with associated transport luggage. The skis feature a maroon and red topsheet with a circular logo at the tips containing a stylised S above the letters SPC and a mountain graphic. They are fitted with Salomon Pilot Sport bindings utilising the SNS (Salomon Nordic System). Included are two pairs of poles; the first pair is finished in dark grey/brown and bears the HEAD brand name, while the second pair is black and marked italy with the reference number # 381214. The footwear comprises a pair of Nordica alpine downhill boots, constructed with black and beige plastic shells and featuring four metal buckles per boot and velcro power straps marked NORDICA. These alpine boots are not compatible with the cross-country bindings on the included skis. The lot is completed by a large, padded black fabric ski transport bag with a carrying handle and shoulder strap, bearing a printed adhesive Gatwick LGW airport airline luggage tag, and a two-tone grey and black fabric boot bag with a top zipper.
