Lot 19: A Collection of Vintage Record and Industrial Steel Hand Tools
A collection of vintage Record and industrial steel hand tools, housed in two utilitarian wooden storage boxes. The assortment features heavy-duty automotive and engineering implements, including a large adjustable pipe wrench with an impressed mark reading ENGLAND and a blue-handled adjustable crescent-style wrench with the raised letters RECORD on the shaft. The lot also includes several large open-ended wrenches, a heavy-duty wood rasp, a tapered metal punch, and a cylindrical metal sleeve. A second partitioned box contains smaller maintenance tools, notably a metal die stock for thread-cutting, various hand files and rasps fitted with turned wooden handles and brass ferrules, and a selection of twist drill bits. The metal components are primarily constructed from drop-forged steel and cast iron, showing a dark, aged patina. One roll of white PTFE thread seal tape is included.
