Lot 198: A Vintage Lightweight Aluminium Two-Tread Step Ladder
A vintage lightweight aluminium two-tread step ladder, featuring a folding frame construction designed for domestic use. The ladder comprises two primary serrated anti-slip treads leading to a larger rectangular standing platform at the top. The structural frame is made of extruded aluminium rails with a curved safety handrail at the peak. A white adhesive auction lot label is affixed to the side rail, with characters legible as ‘Lot 198′. A small white rectangular paper sticker is also adhered to the top tread bearing the handwritten number ’72’. The metal surface shows extensive use with multiple green paint splatters and general surface oxidation throughout.
