Lot 200: A Pair of Vintage Vietnamese Glazed Ceramic Nesting Garden Planters
A pair of vintage Vietnamese glazed ceramic nesting garden planters, each of rounded form with a broad rim and tapering profile. The planters are constructed from heavy stoneware, featuring central drainage holes at the base. They are finished in a two-tone decorative glaze with a dark chocolate brown body and a cobalt blue rim that displays a distinctive drip effect extending down the exterior sides. The interiors are left in a natural unglazed terracotta finish. The side of the larger planter features handwritten characters in dark pigment oriented vertically reading Made in Vietnam. A white adhesive auction label is attached to the rim reading Lot 200.
