Lot 368: A Pair of Vintage Rooks Metal and Glass Cage Pendant Lanterns
A pair of vintage Rooks metal and glass cage pendant lanterns, each featuring a hexagonal frame constructed from metal with a brushed pewter-toned finish. The lanterns are designed in a modern industrial style, with six clear glass panels inset into the protective metal cage. The top section of each fixture tapers to a circular opening, while the interior houses a single light socket. A white plastic mounting plate located at the base of the socket is embossed with the name ROOKS at the top and bears the technical specification B22 40W MAX near the centre, alongside a CE mark and a recycling symbol. Each unit is fitted with a B22 bayonet cap socket, and one lantern currently contains a spiral compact fluorescent lamp bulb. The electrical wiring is currently disconnected, showing bare terminals on a plastic mounting block with brass screw connectors. A white adhesive auction label is present on one glass panel reading HCP Auctions South West Lot 368.
