Lot 378: A Collection of Vintage Household Items including an AEG Steam Iron
A collection of vintage household items including an AEG steam iron, featuring a selection of domestic appliances and decorative ceramics. The lot contains a blue and cream plastic AEG steam iron with a white and grey braided fabric-covered power cable, accompanied by a teal and white steam iron. Also included is a wooden chessboard box lid with yellow and black squares and printed alphanumeric coordinates, and a green majolica-style earthenware plate with leaf-moulded decoration. Centred on the plate is a cast brass commemorative horse brass featuring a relief profile of Queen Victoria and the text RECORD REIGN * 1897 * THE VICTORIA GOOD * 1837. The assortment is completed by several pieces of art pottery, including an iridescent lustre-glazed vase in pastel shades, a turquoise relief-moulded pitcher with floral motifs, and a mottled purple and blue glazed bowl. The iron bears the printed brand name AEG in black uppercase lettering on the side housing.
