Lot 491: Vintage Brother Selecta 7500 Portable Electric Typewriter and Case
A vintage Brother Selecta 7500 portable electric typewriter, housed within a fitted black moulded plastic carrying case. The typewriter features a beige plastic body with a standard QWERTY keyboard comprising black keys, including specialized keys marked TAB, REPEAT SPACER, and MARGIN RELEASE. On the front face, the brand name is printed as brother in lowercase orange-red lettering, situated next to a dark strip bearing the model name Selecta 7500 in white script. Two slider switches are present, one to the upper right marked with S and C, and another to the bottom right marked with 0, L, and H. The typewriter is fitted with a white power cord and a standard UK three-pin plug. The interior base of the case is embossed with the characters JP-14-N and MADE IN JAPAN within rectangular borders. A white adhesive paper label is affixed to the interior lid, handwritten with 9999 / BROTHER SELECTA / 7500 TYPEWRITER / UNTESTED in blue ink.
