Lot 539: An Assortment of Vintage Minton Haddon Hall and Hand-Painted Decorative Ceramics
An assortment of vintage Minton Haddon Hall and hand-painted decorative ceramics, including a commemorative pewter dish and various floral ornaments. The collection features a bone china rectangular serving dish decorated in the Haddon Hall pattern with multi-coloured floral sprays and a green-lined rim; the base is printed with a brown backstamp reading HADDON HALL, a wreath logo containing FOUNDED MINTON 1793, and BONE CHINA MADE IN ENGLAND, and bears a white adhesive auction label printed HCP Auctions South West Lot 539. A large hexagonal porcelain plate features a pierced lattice-work rim and a hand-painted central floral wreath with pink roses and blue blossoms, with the reverse hand-inscribed in reddish-brown script Athel Lily. Also included is a small pewter dish produced for the 1977 Silver Jubilee of HM Queen Elizabeth II, housed in a blue presentation box with a paper insert reading A commemorative souvenir in Solid Pewter 1952 1977 to mark the Silver Jubilee of H.M. Queen Elizabeth II. Further items include a cream-glaze plate with a bird and bamboo design in gold and grey enamels, a scalloped plate with a pink floral border, a group of miniature ceramic floral bouquets, a small floral trinket box, and a polished brass candlestick with a finger-loop handle.
