Lot 593: A Vintage Tienshan Mandarin Pattern Porcelain Part Tea Service
A vintage Tienshan Mandarin pattern porcelain part tea service, comprising a collection of footed teacups and circular saucers. Each piece is constructed from fine white porcelain and features a transfer-printed decoration of floral garlands in shades of pink and blue with green foliage. The items are finished with a silver-coloured metallic rim. The bases bear a black printed backstamp featuring a stylized letter M above the words MANDARIN, BY TIENSHAN, and MADE IN CHINA (photo 2 and 3).
Condition report:
The service is in overall good condition with no visible chips, cracks, or significant repairs. There is minor shelf wear to the unglazed foot rings on the underside of the pieces (photo 2). The silver-coloured metallic rims show very light rubbing in places, consistent with age and occasional use (photo 1).
