Lot 638: A Vintage Cool Sparkling Babycham Advertising Mirror
A vintage cool sparkling Babycham advertising mirror, featuring a reverse-printed design on glass with a distinctive glitter-effect background. The composition is dominated by a large circular motif to the left, enclosed by a scalloped gold-tone border. This section displays the text COOL SPARKLING BABYCHAM in white and blue lettering against a cobalt blue glitter field. The right-hand side depicts the brand mascot, a yellow chamois deer with a blue scarf, standing on stylized ice alongside a full coupe-style glass and two green bottles. The bottle labels are legible, reading BABYCHAM DRY Sparkling Perry 100 ml 3 1/2 fl oz. An adhesive lot tag is attached to the wooden display support reading HCP Auction South West Lot 638, accompanied by a smaller white sticker with the handwritten characters 125 R15. Condition report:
Significant flaking and loss of the silvered backing is visible along the bottom right edge within the ice graphic. The blue glittered area shows multiple spots of dark foxing and desilverization throughout the circular field. The glass surface exhibits accumulated dust and minor superficial scratches, though no structural cracks or chips are apparent.
