Lot 655: A Vintage BBC Only Fools and Horses The Complete Collection DVD Box Set
A vintage BBC Only Fools and Horses The Complete Collection DVD box set, featuring the full series and fifteen specials written by John Sullivan. The collection consists of a 26-disc set housed within a decorative cardboard outer sleeve. The front cover is embellished with a central gold-tone rectangular panel displaying the series title ‘ONLY FOOLS and HORSES’ above ‘THE COMPLETE COLLECTION’, accompanied by four gold-coloured stars. The outer packaging is finished in a distinctive leopard-print pattern, characteristic of the lead character Del Boy’s wardrobe. A red and yellow printed rosette to the upper left corner reads ’26 DISC SET OVER 41 HOURS OF PUKKA VIEWING!’. The front and back covers feature the ‘BBC DVD’, ‘DVD VIDEO’, and BBFC ’12’ certificate logos. The reverse lists the included episodes across Series 1 through 7 and various Christmas Specials ranging from 1985 to 2003. An interior flap or booklet shows a photo collage of the main cast including David Jason and Nicholas Lyndhurst against a pink background. An adhesive white auction lot label is present on the front reading ‘HCP Auctions South West Lot 655’. A silver-coloured adhesive label is visible on the reverse, partially detached at the top left.
Condition report:
The outer cardboard sleeve shows moderate wear to the edges and corners with visible white scuffing (photo 1). There is minor crushing to the top corners of the box (photo 1). An auction lot sticker is adhered to the front face (photo 1). The reverse of the box has a silver-coloured label or tape that is peeling away in the upper left corner (photo 2). The interior collage panel appears in good condition (photo 3). The individual discs have not been inspected for condition or presence.
