Lot 680: A Vintage Silver Solitaire Ring with Decorative Textured Shank
A vintage silver solitaire ring with a decorative textured shank, featuring a single round faceted clear stone. The central stone is secured within a bezel mount which is finished with a beaded milgrain-style border. The shank is characterised by a distinctive and continuous ribbed texture around the exterior circumference. Indented stamps are present on the interior of the shank, though these marks are not clearly legible as specific characters or hallmarks. The ring is presented within a dark, pebble-grained hinged jewellery box featuring a gold-toned border and a contrasting black and white interior lining.
Condition report:
The metal displays significant surface tarnish and dark oxidation, particularly within the recessed areas of the textured shank and the milgrain setting (Photo 1 and 2). The central clear stone exhibits some surface grime (Photo 2). There are no visible chips to the stone or fractures to the shank. The presentation box shows minor surface wear but is in overall good functional condition.
