Lot 720: A Collection of Vintage Costume Jewellery and a Carved Wood Trinket Box
A collection of vintage costume jewellery and a carved wood trinket box. The rectangular box features a hinged lid and hand-carved foliate and scrollwork decoration to the sides and top, with the interior lined in purple synthetic velvet. The jewellery includes a silver-tone tennis bracelet set with clear round-cut rhinestones, a large multi-faceted iridescent glass pendant in a stylized floral form, and a heavy gold-tone mesh chain necklace. Further items include various gold and silver-tone link chains, some featuring diamante accents. Two pieces are held in original retail packaging: a beaded anklet with pink, purple, and iridescent faceted beads and a flower charm, and a silver-tone chain necklace with blue faceted bead spacers. A white circular adhesive label on the packaging is printed with a script reading handmade for you by Alycrafts. Additional labels include printed tags reading December and Anklet, and a retail hang-tag marked £4.50.
Condition report:
The wooden box shows surface wear and light scuffing to the edges (photo 4), with a small amount of dust visible to the interior lining (photo 4). The loose metal jewellery chains are significantly tangled (photo 2). The rhinestone-set tennis bracelet appears to be complete (photo 4). The items in original retail packaging are in new and unused condition (photo 3).
