Lot 749: A Vintage Dresden White Porcelain Musical Angel Figurine Playing a Cello
A vintage Dresden white porcelain musical angel figurine, depicted in a kneeling position with outspread wings while playing a cello or double bass. The figure is constructed with finely moulded details, including curly hair and a simple flowing robe, with the instrument and bow integrated into the main body. The entire piece is finished in a clear glossy glaze. On the underside, there is a blue printed backstamp consisting of a five-pointed crown above a stylized script monogram letter D. Below the monogram, the words Original and Germany are printed in blue. This mark is characteristic of 20th-century porcelain production from the Dresden region.
