Lot 773: An Antique Late Victorian English Ironstone Floral Decorated Wash Basin
An antique English ironstone wash basin from the late Victorian or early 20th-century period. The large-scale circular vessel features a moulded, scalloped rim and a short pedestal foot. The exterior is decorated on one side with a transfer-printed floral bouquet featuring clusters of small pink blossoms tied with a blue ribbon bow, while the interior and remainder of the exterior are finished in a plain cream glaze. The base bears a black transfer-printed mark featuring the British Royal Arms crest with a lion and unicorn. The word IRONSTONE is printed in an arch to the left of the crest and ENGLAND is printed in an arch to the right; the text within the banner below the crest is not legible. A white adhesive lot sticker is present on the rim and another on the interior, the latter reading Lot 773.

Condition report:
The basin exhibits significant all-over crazing to the glaze, which is particularly prominent on the base (photo 3) and across the interior surface (photo 2). There is visible brownish staining and shelf wear around the unglazed foot rim (photo 3). No major chips, cracks, or structural repairs are visible in the provided images.
