Lot 780: Vintage Morphy Richards 800W Silver-Toned Microwave Oven
A vintage Morphy Richards silver-toned microwave oven featuring a black-bordered glass door and a two-dial mechanical control panel. The upper rotary dial controls power selection with settings for Low, Defrost, M.Low, Med, M.High, and High, while the lower dial serves as a 30-minute timer. The lower edge of the door glass is printed with the manufacturer name morphy richards in white lowercase lettering. A small black and silver label to the right indicates the unit is 800W and heating category E. The white-coated interior cavity includes a removable glass turntable and a waveguide cover positioned on the right interior wall. A white adhesive auction label reading HCP Auctions South West Lot 780 is adhered to the lower front panel.
Condition report:
The exterior door glass is heavily smeared and marked with residue (photo 1). The interior cavity shows significant signs of prior use including extensive staining, food splatters, and visible rust spots on both the ceiling and floor surfaces (photo 2). The waveguide cover is discoloured (photo 2). The appliance is untested for electrical functionality.
