Lot 830: A Collection of Vintage Vinyl LP Records Including The Beach Boys and Kiss
A collection of vintage vinyl LP records featuring an assortment of popular music artists from the 1960s to the 1980s. The group includes The Beach Boys 20 Golden Greats, a 1976 compilation on the Capitol Records label featuring a silhouette surfer graphic; a white adhesive label is present on the top left reading HCP Auctions South West Lot 830 www.hcpauctions.net. Also included is the 1980 Kiss studio album Unmasked, which features comic-strip style sleeve artwork. A compilation album titled Elvis features a collage-style cover with a pink adhesive price sticker reading $5. Two UK budget-label reissues from the Intempo label are present: Long Live The King by Elvis Presley, which displays the catalogue number IDLP 01U, and a Various Artists compilation titled Motorcity Artists featuring The Supremes, Marvin Gaye, and The Temptations. The sleeves are constructed from standard cardstock with various printed finishes.
Condition report:
The sleeve for The Beach Boys 20 Golden Greats shows visible shelf wear including corner bumping, edge rubbing, and a small area of surface loss at the top right corner (photo 1). The Elvis Presley collage sleeve exhibits heavy wear to the top and right edges (photo 3). The Kiss Unmasked sleeve shows significant wear to the perimeter and corners (photo 1). The Elvis Presley Long Live The King album remains in its original shrink wrap, which is heavily crinkled, and the sleeve shows potential storage-related warping underneath (photo 3). The Motorcity Artists sleeve displays minor ring wear and edge scuffing (photo 2). All vinyl discs remain uninspected for scratches or playability and are sold as seen.
