Lot 839: A Vintage Oak Work Table / Side Table
A vintage oak work table / side table dating from the mid-20th century. The table is of simple, robust construction featuring a solid oak top formed from two wide planks. It stands on four square-section legs joined by horizontal cross-stretchers to the lower frame. The piece is finished in a dark stain that highlights the natural grain of the hardwood. A white rectangular adhesive label is present on the tabletop, printed with HCP Auctions South West, Lot 839, and www.hcpauctions.net, alongside a handwritten 13 in red marker. No other marks or signatures are visible.

Condition report:
The table is in a heavily worn and distressed condition. The dark finish on the tabletop is significantly degraded, showing extensive flaking and areas of loss (photo 1). Numerous surface scratches, scuffs, and signs of prolonged use and storage are evident throughout (photo 1).
