Start price: £10

Estimated price: £10 - £15

Buyer's Premium:

A collection of vintage vinyl pop and rock gramophone records, featuring various artists and compilation albums from the late 20th century. The collection includes the 1984 album The Unforgettable Fire by U2, presented in a sepia-toned sleeve featuring Slane Castle, and the 1986 album never felt so good by James Ingram, which displays a portrait of the artist against a purple background with pink script. A partial view of a compilation album titled 20 Original Hits is visible, listing tracks such as Elton John’s Crocodile Rock. Also present is a religious or choral recording bearing the text I KNOW THAT MY REDE… visible at the bottom edge. The James Ingram sleeve features several marks including an adhesive printed sticker for HCP Auctions South West reading Lot 858, a larger white sticker with handwritten text reading CUSTOMER NUMBER 46510, and a small white corner sticker reading 46510.

Condition report:

The outer sleeves show moderate to heavy shelf wear throughout, consistent with age and storage. The U2 jacket exhibits significant rubbing to the faces, heavy edge wear, and scuffed corners (photo 2). The James Ingram sleeve has several adhesive labels applied directly to the front surface and shows noticeable ring wear and edge creasing (photo 1). The additional albums in the stack show similar signs of card discolouration and corner bumping. The vinyl media has not been removed from the sleeves for inspection; therefore, the surface condition and playability are unknown.
