Lot 888: A Trio of Mid-Century Teak Nesting Tables
A trio of mid-century teak nesting tables, comprising three rectangular occasional tables of graduated sizes designed to slide beneath one another for compact storage. Each table is constructed with a teak-veneered top featuring a decorative mitred border frame and is supported by four square-section legs. The largest table in the set includes side stretchers between the front and back legs for additional structural support. The top surface of the largest table bears two adhesive labels: a rectangular white sticker with a blue border containing the handwritten number 82, and a white inventory sticker printed with HCP Auctions South West and Lot 888. No manufacturer stamps or makers marks are visible on the external surfaces.
Large-scale furniture items; exact dimensions are not provided.
Condition report:
The set shows significant signs of age and wear. The top surface of the largest table has numerous light-coloured scratches, scuffs, and finish wear. The smallest table in the set has a visible deep scratch or gouge on its top surface. General scuffs and nicks are present to the edges and legs, consistent with domestic use. All observations are derived from the provided photograph.
