Lot 895: A Vintage Kilner 5 Litre Glass Drinks Dispenser
A vintage Kilner 5 litre glass drinks dispenser of rounded square form, constructed from clear pressed glass. The vessel features a traditional wire-bale clip-top lid fitted with a supple orange rubber gasket to maintain an airtight seal. A chrome-effect spigot tap is installed near the base for dispensing beverages. The front face is decorated with embossed lettering, featuring KILNER in an arched format above EST 1842 and the word Original in script. A circular emblem is embossed with 100% QUALITY, and the capacity mark 5 LITRES is visible at the base. A white adhesive auction label is affixed to the lid, bearing the text HCP Auctions South West and Lot 895.
Condition report:
The dispenser appears in good functional condition with no visible chips or cracks to the glass body (photo 1). The wire closure mechanism is intact and operational, and the rubber seal remains flexible (photo 1). The dispensing tap is securely attached.
