Lot 904: A Vintage Stainless Steel and Cast Iron Double Panini Grill
A vintage stainless steel and cast iron double panini grill designed for commercial catering use. The unit features two independently operated, counter-balanced top ribbed cast-iron plates over a corresponding double-width ribbed bottom plate. The chassis is constructed from heavy-gauge stainless steel and features heavy-duty insulated black composite handles and wire-protected heating elements to the rear hinges. Control is provided via two black toggle switches and two rotary thermostat dials, allowing for dual-zone cooking operations. The front control panel features a printed black ON label above the switches. A white adhesive auction sticker is present to the lid reading HCP Auctions South West Lot 904, alongside a smaller rectangular label with the handwritten blue ink number 5766. The black power cable bears the embossed text 3G1.5mm2 NINGBO QIAOPU.

Condition report:
In a heavily used, as-found condition. There is significant carbon buildup and baked-on food residue across the cast-iron grill plates and within the drip tray channels (photo 1 and 2). The stainless steel exterior displays widespread grease splattering, grime, and areas of surface oxidation (photo 1). The electrical functionality has not been tested and the item requires thorough professional cleaning and sanitisation, alongside PAT testing prior to use.
