Lot 912: A Collection of Vintage Oriental Style Wool and Synthetic Small Rugs and Mats
A collection of vintage oriental style wool and synthetic small rugs and mats, featuring a variety of rectangular, runner, and semi-circular formats. The selection includes a small rectangular mat with a central cream and navy medallion on a red ground, a longer runner-style mat with a trio of diamond medallions on a pink field, and a rug with a repeating geometric grid in deep red and charcoal tones. Also included is a semi-circular decorative textile finished in a rose and pale gold floral brocade with a dark bullion fringe. Several other mats feature geometric and star motifs in varied palettes including orange and brown. Two items bear white adhesive rectangular labels, one printed with HCP Auctions South West followed by Lot 912 and another partially visible reading 914.

Condition report:
The collection is in generally good condition consistent with domestic use and age. There is minor fraying and light discoloration to the white cotton fringes on several pieces (photo 1). Light creasing from storage is evident on the larger mats, specifically to the edges of the pink runner (photo 3). No significant stains, holes, or structural repairs were observed.
