Lot 244: A Reconstituted Stone Hexagonal Birdbath on Ornate Pedestal
A reconstituted stone hexagonal birdbath on an ornate pedestal, featuring a two-piece construction for ease of assembly. The shallow hexagonal basin is finished with a decorative notched rim and rests upon a heavily moulded pedestal. The pedestal consists of a fluted neck above a bulbous body decorated with relief-moulded acanthus leaves, terminating in a tiered square base with scrolling foliate motifs at each corner. The cast stone material has a naturally textured finish designed to weather and acquire a patina over time. No maker’s marks, signatures, or factory stamps are visible on either the basin or the pedestal.
