A Makita job site radio constructed with a heavy-duty blue and black plastic housing, featuring integrated rubberised bumpers and twin chrome-plated steel roll-cage bars for protection. The front control panel is finished in a silver-tone and houses a central digital LCD display, tactile buttons for presets and functions, and a large rotary dial for volume and tuning control. The manufacturer name Makita is printed in white on the lateral blue panels and the front fascia. Control buttons are labelled BAND, MONO, PRESETS (numbered 1 through 5), VOLUME, PUSH TUNING, and SCAN / SET. The unit includes external ports for DC IN and AUX IN 1. Twin side-mounted speakers are protected by circular black metal grilles. A top-mounted carry handle and a foldable antenna are fitted.
