Lot 544: A Set of Six Iridescent Lustre Porcelain Teacups and Saucers
A service for six comprising six teacups and six matching saucers, crafted from white porcelain with an iridescent pearlised lustre finish. The service features transfer-printed pink rose motifs accented by hand-gilded foliate scrolls and sprigs. The cups are of a flared form with D-shaped handles, while the saucers feature shallow, scalloped wells. The rims and handles are finished with gold-coloured trim. The underside of the saucer (photo 2) is plain white glazed porcelain; no maker’s marks, backstamps, or pattern numbers are visible.
