Lot 560: Two Decorative Stainless Steel and Metal Daggers
Two decorative stainless steel and metal daggers, comprising a large-scale fantasy display piece and a miniature Japanese-style tanto. The fantasy dagger features a double-edged stainless steel blade tapering to a fine point, embellished with laser-etched foliate scrollwork and decorative cut-out sections at the ricasso. The elaborate hilt is constructed from cast metal, incorporating a large crossguard with multiple forward-swept spikes and a grip finished in a metallic blue, textured with an overlapping chevron pattern, terminating in a lobed pommel. It is presented in a glazed, yellow-painted wooden shadow box frame with a black velvet-flock backing. A printed mark on the ricasso features the word SWORDS in an arc above a stylized crest emblem. The accompanying miniature tanto features a black scabbard decorated with bronze-tone dragon and scrollwork motifs, fitted with cast metal furniture at the throat and tip, and a matching textured hilt.
