Lot 656: A Vintage German White Glazed Porcelain Musical Angel Figurine From Dresden Porcelain
A vintage German white glazed porcelain musical angel figurine, depicting a winged celestial figure playing a cello. The piece is finished in a uniform, high-gloss white glaze, highlighting the delicate modelling of the robes, feathered wings, and the strings of the instrument. The angel is shown in a standing posture on a small, integral shaped base. The underside of the base features a printed blue backstamp consisting of a five-pointed crown above a stylized script letter ‘D’, accompanied by the text ‘Original’ over ‘Germany’ to the right. A central circular vent hole is present in the base construction to allow for even firing.
