Lot 894: A monochrome brown glazed earthenware figural turkey lidded dish
This earthenware lidded dish is modelled in the form of a turkey. The piece consists of two sections: a lid moulded as a sitting turkey with a raised fan-shaped tail and a deep oval base. The exterior is finished with a glossy monochrome brown glaze and features detailed moulded textures representing feathers on the body, wings, and tail, alongside the bird’s head and wattle. Both the interior and exterior surfaces are fully glazed. There are no maker’s marks, factory stamps, signatures, or country-of-origin labels visible on the piece.
