This lot comprises a British-made photographic enlarger and a collection of vintage metal construction components. The enlarger is a Gnome Alpha model featuring a bulbous metal lamp house with a grey hammer-tone textured finish. It is mounted on a vertical chrome-plated column attached to a wooden baseboard and includes black adjustable focusing bellows. The lamp house is fitted with a circular metal badge bearing the word GNOME above the words BRITISH MADE in capital letters. The lower bellows stage features a rectangular black and silver label with the word Alpha in a stylized cursive script. A red swing-away safety filter is mounted below the lens assembly. The accompanying collection of construction parts includes numerous perforated metal strips in red, green, yellow, and blue finishes. These are stored alongside a rectangular metal tin containing an assortment of hardware including L-brackets, washers, screws, and rods.
