A glazed porcelain figurine of a swan in flight, manufactured in Spain. The bird is modelled with an arched neck and wide, outspread wings, finished in a high-gloss white glaze with subtle grey shaded accents to the feathering. The swan is mounted upon a base of irregular, moulded form representing stylised ocean waves in a pale blue hue. The underside of the base features a brown printed mark within a diamond-shaped border depicting a sailing vessel, above the word ‘DAO’ in a stylised font. Below this is the printed text ‘HAND MADE IN SPAIN’ and ‘by LLADRÓ’. Additional marks include an impressed cross within a circle, an impressed ‘S’, and the number ’58’. A circular firing hole is located towards the rear of the base.
