Lot 620: An Assortment of Mid-Century Art Glass Vessels
Not sold
An assortment of mid-century art glass vessels in a variety of saturated jewel tones and organic forms. The collection features a large teal baluster vase with a flared rim and a rounded body tapering to a heavy, solid base. Also included is a large oversized brandy balloon vase in deep emerald green glass, featuring a short multi-knop stem and a wide circular foot. A further vessel is a medium-sized stemmed bowl in a smoky teal or grey-green tone, supported by a short pedestal base. The group is completed by two slender cylindrical vases in forest green glass with vertical optic ribbing and a large thin-walled spherical vase in translucent amethyst purple glass. Each piece is hand-blown with visible variations in glass thickness. There are no maker’s marks, etched signatures, or manufacturer labels visible on any of the vessels. A blue rectangular adhesive label is present on the glass shelf bearing the handwritten characters 32 and R7, and a white rectangular label shows the printed characters Lot 620.
