A collection of framed prints and artworks of various subjects and styles. The grouping includes a large gilt-framed piece with a deep cream mount, currently without an inset image. A prominent framed print titled ‘An Imaginary Cricket Match’ is present, featuring a Victorian sporting scene. This piece is housed in a dark wood moulded frame with a gilt inner slip and bears a title plaque identifying the artist as John Ritchie (1821-1881). Also included is a framed map of Cornwall, titled ‘CORNWALL’ and ‘REFORMED BY J. ARCHER’, decorated with various coats of arms and a coastal inset. A landscape painting executed in shades of blue and purple depicts white cottages, appearing to be a watercolour or gouache on paper, set within a light wood frame. Further items in the collection include a modern canvas with abstract orange and red forms and a coastal seascape. The artworks are variously presented behind glass in wooden and gilt frames.
