Lot 516: An Assortment of Glazed Porcelain and Ceramic Figurines
Not sold
An assortment of glazed porcelain and ceramic figurines, featuring seven individual pieces of varying styles. The collection includes a large porcelain figure of a lady depicted in 18th-century attire, wearing a dark blue bodice and a white skirt embellished with polychrome floral sprays and gold-gilt scalloped edging. There is a pair of matching porcelain figurines of ladies in blue hats and white dresses, decorated with blue transfer-print floral patterns. The lot also contains a trio of small porcelain musical and pastoral figures: a girl with a lyre accompanied by a lamb, a boy playing cymbals, and a boy with an accordion wearing a wide-brimmed hat. Additionally, there is a figurine of a peasant girl carrying a basket of flowers standing beside a taller lady in a tiered, gold-gilt dress with blue accents. One figure, the boy with an accordion, bears a handwritten white paper tag reading 516. No other maker’s marks, signatures, or country-of-origin labels are visible on the bodies of the items or on the visible undersides.
