Lot 943: Sony LBT-V202 Compact Hi-Fi Stereo System in a George III Style Cabinet
A Sony LBT-V202 compact hi-fi stereo system, integrated into a mahogany-finished wooden cabinet designed in the style of a George III chest of drawers. The system comprises a Sony PS-LX43P automatic stereo turntable system located beneath a hinged top lid, a Sony CDP-M18 compact disc player with 4 times oversampling digital filter, and a main LBT-V202 unit. The main unit features a quartz lock digital synthesizer tuner for FM, MW, and LW bands, an integrated amplifier with a five-band graphic equaliser and DBFB bass enhancement, and a dual stereo cassette deck with high-speed dubbing and Dolby NR. The cabinet is constructed with a dark wood veneer and features ten brass-effect swan-neck drop handles, standing on bracket feet. The front panels are configured as a hinged door to access the electronic components. A lower storage compartment contains a vintage Scrabble board game and associated wiring. The lot includes the original RM-S180 remote control and the manufacturer’s operating instructions manual dated 1990.
Condition report:
The hi-fi components and cabinet are in good aesthetic condition. The wooden exterior shows light surface scratches and minor abrasions consistent with age, including a small area of finish wear on the upper right side panel. The system is offered untested.
