Lot 379: A pair of vintage Champion Sport padded ski salopettes
These vintage bib-style ski trousers, or salopettes, are manufactured by Champion Sport. The garment is constructed from a black synthetic shell with a textured crinkle finish and is padded for thermal insulation. The interior is lined with blue fabric, which is also used for the internal elasticated snow gaiters at the leg cuffs. The design features adjustable over-the-shoulder straps with black plastic squeeze buckles and an elasticated waistband. The central front has a zip fly closure secured by two metal snap buttons at the waist. There are two diagonal hip pockets with metal zip closures. The leg cuffs include zippered expansions to accommodate ski boots. A woven rectangular label on the chest bib displays the text CHAMPION SPORT skiwear. The item is accompanied by a handwritten lot tag referencing lot 2927 and describing the garment as Champion Sport skiwear lt/mens range 5 never used.
Condition report:
Although the attached tag describes the item as never used, there are visible surface marks and light dust patches on the black shell fabric, likely resulting from long-term storage. The fabric, zips, and plastic components appear to be structurally sound and in good order.
