Lot 899: A Pine Trestle Dining Table, Four High-Back Chairs
A collection of clear pressed glass tableware featuring a variety of decorative motifs. The group includes a large rectangular serving dish with integral handles and a matching circular lidded dish, both featuring relief-molded designs of fruit including apples and grapes. An embossed mark including the word FRANCE is present on the handle of the rectangular dish, suggesting manufacture by Arcoroc or a similar French glassware firm. Also included is a pedestal cake stand with a scalloped thumbprint rim and concentric patterns of radial ribbing and diamond-point pressings. A flat circular platter features an all-over Daisy and Button pattern, a popular Victorian-style motif. Completing the collection is a clear glass plate with a prominent central seven-pointed star motif featuring feathered rays.
