Buyer's Premium:

This lot comprises two antique sterling silver-mounted cut glass trinket boxes originating from the United Kingdom. The first is a larger Edwardian dressing table jar with a rectangular body featuring deep diamond-cut patterns and a multi-pointed star-cut base. The silver pull-off lid is embossed with scrolling foliate borders and contains a central vacant cartouche. It bears the maker mark L and S for Levi and Salaman, the Birmingham anchor assay mark, the lion passant for sterling silver, and the date letter b for 1901. The second is a smaller George V rectangular trinket box with a diamond-cut glass base. The silver lid features dense, high-relief repoussé work depicting floral and foliate scrollwork. This lid bears the maker mark for William Devenport, alongside Birmingham hallmarks and the date letter o for 1913. Both items exhibit the brilliance and clarity characteristic of high-quality lead crystal from the early 20th century.
Combined weight of silver lids: 29.73g
