Lot 971: A Collection of Framed Artworks and Prints including a Topographical Scene of Plymouth (Signed)
A collection of framed artworks and decorative pieces including prints and a textile. The grouping features a topographical tinted print or etching of Plymouth Hoe, depicting Smeaton’s Tower and the surrounding coastal landscape, inscribed lower right Plymouth the Hoe and bearing an indistinct signature. A large horizontal print depicts an ornate, floral-patterned Japanese-style vase, presented in a dark wood frame with a gilt inner slip. Also included is a large still life print of a cluster of grapes and a tall, slender glass vessel in muted blue and purple tones, housed in a wide, moulded gilt frame. A smaller framed piece consists of a needlework or embroidery showing a floral arrangement within a light-coloured wood frame.
