Lot 35: Two Decorative Items comprising a Carved Wooden Lion and a Ceramic Home Sweet Home Money Box
This lot features two decorative items. The first is a hand-carved wooden figurine of a lion, designed with stylized parallel incised lines representing the mane and simple facial features. The figurine is crafted from wood with a natural, unvarnished finish. The second item is a ceramic money box modelled in the form of a traditional twin-lugged crock. It features a light grey speckled glaze and is decorated on the front with the phrase Home Sweet Home in blue script, flanked by yellow and blue floral motifs. The rim and lugs are detailed with blue glaze, and the top includes a coin slot and a thin wire handle.
