Lot 751: A Lot of Four Assorted Soft Toys and a Miniature Wooden Sledge including a Teddy Tompkins Tobogganing Teddy
This lot features a Teddy Tompkins Tobogganing Teddy bear from the Special Collector’s Edition series by Enesco. The shaggy, tan-coloured plush bear is equipped with plastic eyes and a stitched nose, and is dressed in a knitted red, green, and cream striped scarf with a matching pom-pom hat. The bear is seated upon a miniature traditional-style wooden sledge constructed with a slatted wooden seat and dark-painted metal runners. Attached to the bear is the original card hangtag which reads Tobogganing Teddy and includes a descriptive passage about the character.
The collection further includes a dark brown plush bear decorated with a crown of red and pink fabric roses and a faux-pearl necklace, which retains a handwritten card tag. Also present is a squirrel soft toy fashioned from tan and brown plaid fabric featuring a large, bushy brown faux-fur tail and plastic eyes. Completing the group is a small, seated soft toy dog made from white fabric with a repeating printed pattern of black and grey dog silhouettes. A small white inventory sticker marked 751 is present on the front left runner of the wooden sledge.
