Lot 985: A Singer Model 99K Portable Electric Sewing Machine with Case and Accessories
A vintage Singer Model 99K portable electric sewing machine, serial number EC144338, dating to circa 1939-1940. The machine is constructed of black-painted cast metal decorated with ornate gold-toned filigree decals and the Singer brand name in gold lettering. A brass medallion on the pillar is inscribed with The Singer Manfg. Co. and features the company logo. The unit is housed in its original wooden base and includes a matching carrying case. The machine is accompanied by an assortment of accessories including a purple velvet-lined case containing metal presser feet and a seam guide; a white plastic box containing several Singer fashion disks (pattern cams) including types 101, 103, and 107; and a secondary white plastic tray housing a pack of Singer needles marked Made in W. Germany, a buttonhole attachment, and various additional metal sewing tools and feet.
