Lot 676: A Pair of Copper and Brass Black Powder Flasks
A pair of copper and brass black powder flasks of teardrop form, designed for use with muzzle-loading firearms. The first flask features a two-piece seamed copper body with an embossed lattice-work central panel framed by foliate scroll motifs. The second flask is of a plain, polished teardrop design. Both items are fitted with brass charger collars and nozzles incorporating spring-operated lever mechanisms for measuring black powder charges. A white adhesive label with the handwritten characters 46671 is attached to the body of the plain flask. No manufacturer’s marks or capacity graduations are visible on the brass components.
