Lot 735: Three Vintage Tartan and Printed Textile Decorative Animal Figures
Three vintage tartan and printed textile decorative animal figures. The collection includes a seated squirrel fashioned from a tan and brown tartan wool-style textile with a bushy brown faux-fur tail and corduroy-lined ears. The squirrel is finished with plastic safety eyes and stitched thread whiskers. The second figure is a shaggy bear-like creature covered in dark brown synthetic fur, embellished with a crown of pink fabric roses and a single-strand faux-pearl necklace. It features triangular orange felt eyes and black felt claws, with an illegible brown cardboard tag attached to the necklace by a pink string. The final figure is a standing dog made from a cream textile printed with an all-over repeating pattern of various dog breeds in different colours. Each item is a static decorative plush figure with no internal mechanisms or original packaging.
Condition report:
The tartan squirrel shows no significant signs of wear or damage to the fabric (photo 2). The shaggy brown figure exhibits matting to the synthetic fur across the body (photo 3). The printed dog figure has visible surface staining and grey discoloration on the top of the head and along the back (photo 4).
