Lot 741: A Collection of Vintage Art Deco Salmon-Pink and Clear Pressed Glassware
A collection of vintage Art Deco salmon-pink and clear pressed glassware, including a figural flower frog and assorted dressing table components. The principal item is a semi-frosted salmon-pink glass figural flower frog, depicting a classically draped maiden holding a bunch of grapes. The figure stands upon an integral domed base featuring a ring of pierced circular apertures for supporting flower stems. The collection further includes three pieces of clear pressed glass featuring geometric starburst and faceted patterns, consisting of two circular pots and a scalloped dish with a central upright finial. The clear glass pieces exhibit a combination of hobnail-style moulding and rayed starburst motifs to the bases. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are readable on the surface or underside of any items.
Condition report:
The glassware is in good condition overall. The salmon-pink figural flower frog appears free of chips, cracks, or significant losses to the maiden figure and the pierced apertures of the base (photo 2). The clear glass accessories show minor surface shelf-wear consistent with age. A small red mark is visible to the interior of the scalloped dish (photo 3).
